Good morning and thank you for your email and for forwarding the email string. I appreciate it. I wanted to let you know that NewsBank is only planning to digitize the Evening Star from 1852-1922 (more information on this can be found at:
http://www.readex.com/readex/product.cfm?product=384). We are working on getting the rights and permissions to digitize and to provide content from 1923 through its last issue in 1981. I do not know where we are in these negotiations nor how long it might take.
If you and your colleagues are interested in looking at the 1922 and earlier content of the Evening Star (along with an extensive list of other historical newspapers) you can access the Evening Star through either of these e-commerce services provided by NewsBank:
