There were notices in today's Washington Post on the passing of two men with Star connections...Andrew Worth Kinzer, 97, of Falls Church, VA , died on April 12, 2012. He was a WWII veteran and retired in 1979 as Administrative Assistant to the Controller, Washington Star.
On Monday June 18, 2012, Eugene "Jackie" R. Cummings. He served in the Merchant Marines and the U.S. Army He worked both at the Washington Evening Star newspaper and later on Capitol Hill, as a proofreader for legislation coming from the United States Senate Special Committee on Aging chaired by Senator Frank Church and Senator John Heinz.
